The Outreach and Assistance for Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers program (OASDFR), also known as the 2501 Program, has provided NMAA with an opportunity to serve minority farmers and ranchers by assisting them in participating in USDA-specific programs so they can upgrade and operate their farms more efficiently.
The purpose of the 2501 Program is to ensure that socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers have opportunities to obtain, operate, and maintain their rural properties; and equitably participate in all USDA programs.
