Pilar Trujillo, Program Manager ♦ pilar@lasacequias.org
Pilar is from Española, NM and graduated from Pojoaque Valley High in 1998. She majored in Environmental Studies at Prescott College, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. Using water from the Acequia de la Cañada Ancha her family operates a farm in Chimayo, working land that belonged to her ancestors.
Pilar was employed by NMAA in 2008 as the Youth Coordinator for the Sembrando Semillas youth project. She currently fills the role of Program Manager, where she oversees the organization's various projects and provides support for NMAA's growing staff. She also has a major role in the planning and coordination of the annual Seed Exchange and Seed Ceremony. Additionally, she oversees activities related to the New Mexico Food and Seed Sovereignty Alliance.
Pilar enjoys spending time with her loved ones, being outdoors, tending to her chickens, farming with her family, reading, traveling, and learning about healing herbs.
