Lucille Trujillo, Membership Services ♦ lucille@lasacequias.org
Lucille currently lives in Santa Fe, but she also tends to her home and ranch in Chacon, NM. Every summer, Lucille and her family drive their cattle up to the higher elevations of the forest, where they graze until October. She's an active parciante on three acequias, El Cañon de Luna Acequia, La Joya Acequia, and Acequia de la Sierra, two of which she serves as a commissioner. Lucille holds a Master of Education degree, and undergraduate minor in Chicano Studies. Lucille was an educator for 28 years and retired from teaching in 2000.
Lucille was employed by NMAA in 2004. She handles the organization's membership coordination and office management. She also assists staff with various tasks including outreach, data entry, and workshop coordination. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies with her husband, crocheting, reading, painting, and attending her grandson's basketball games.
