Declarations and Resolutions

DECLARATIONS

Women’s Declaration - Passed in March 2007 at the 2nd Annual Land, Water, and Culture Conference with contributions from Honor Our Pueblo Existence, Tewa Women United, New Mexico Acequia Association, and the Traditional Native American Farmers Association.

El Agua es la Vida Declaration - Passed n December 2006 at the 7th Annual Congreso de las Acequias attended by over 250 acequia parciantes and supporters.

Seed Sovereignty Declaration - Passed in March 2006 at the 1st Annual Land, Water, and Culture Conference which was the foundation for the creation of the New Mexico Food and Seed Sovereignty Alliance between the Traditional Native American Farmers Association and the New Mexico Acequia Association.

RESOLUTIONS

Resolutions are the statements that are approved by the Congreso de las Acequias, the statewide governing body of the New Mexico Acequia Association at the Fall Annual Meeting. Resolutions are listed by year.
